Eccoli, ora, davanti al televisore, trafitti dai raggi del tubo catodico, mentre guardano un programma sulle coppie in crisi condotto da Maria De Filippi.
E c’è una foto in cornice dorata, poggiata giusto sul televisore, la foto del loro matrimonio tra covoni di fieno scenograficamente sparpagliati sul fondale di plastica, lei con una calza smagliata, il vestito bianco da sposa; lui, imbalsamato nel gessato, sguardo fisso sull’avvenire.
Gesualdo, detto anche “u sc’mmion” (è affetto da irsutismo), che cazzeggia amabilmente coi compagni e mette a repentaglio la sua vita a diagramma piatto sniffando colle e solventi, dodici ore su ventiquattro (otto più gli “straordinari”, sabato e domenica compresi). L’operaio, questo rottame proveniente dallo spazio, anni luce distante dal presente, che strizza gli occhi al sole che non c’è più abituato, mentre ritira la medaglia al valore consegnata per mano dell’ingegnere. Eccolo, mentre a mutuo pagato si sogna la pensione tirandosi una sega nel cesso.
