L’allevamento della nuova gioventù & la teologia dello schermo

Noi abitiamo la marginalità della riflessione sul mondo contemporaneo. Abitiamo l’incapacità di spingerci oltre alle forme specialistiche di evasione, di fare della Letteratura terreno di riflessione sociale, politica: di crescita. Chi dovesse prendere in mano questa rivista è un marginale, o “consumatore di nicchia”: in altre parole, chi leggerà Origine nel panorama culturale contemporaneo è: irrilevante o inesistente. Sappia quindi il lettore di non esistere!
La patria delle umane lettere, centrifugata dallo studio della fumettistica di Batman, dei corsi attivati presso Associazioni culturali, Enti, Università con gran successo di giovani studenti entusiasti, di “Tecniche (da notare l’uso grondante e ricco della parola) del linguaggio fumettistico, da Topolino a Dylan Dog”, celebra la canonizzazione del consumo culturale di massa. Parte monografica: “Aspetti antropomorfici della figura di Paperino, sull’impotenza comunicativa ed i limiti del linguaggio”, illustrata da illustri semiologi e strutturalisti. Orde di studentelli sbarbati e di ragazze in tanga e bretelline, animati da un’ansia smisurata di sottolineare con pennarello rosso ed uno blu il “bla bla bla” del manuale di turno. Ansia di “sapere” che per quanto riguarda gli aspetti “umani” è soddisfatta da trasmissioni televisive e talk-show. La moralità è lasciare la meglio gioventù ad imbonitori del tubo catodico, ergere statue al Savonarola, che con canzonette e ballerine, predica un ritorno ad una nuova religiosità dello schermo. Siamo sempre in tempo per un nuovo Media-evo.
Se s’inizia a confondere cultura bassa con cultura alta, se si fanno dei polpettoni, si crea disorientamento, non si traccia una strada di formazione.
Nessuno si preoccupa del futuro della cultura di un Paese e d’infondere (anche in quei pochi, che dovessero farne domanda) un po’ di materia grigia. Alla dittatura dello spettatore, che chiede Topolino e memotecnica per ripetere nel rituale dell’esaminando il canto afono del nozionismo sterile, per aumentare la media europea dei laureati, che vede l’Italia agli ultimi posti in Europa, bisogna necessariamente sacrificare le energie e le buone volontà della minoranza?
Sull’altare, l’unico ad essere sacrificato senza ribellarsi è il cervello, il processo di eutanasia è splendido e tragico come nella drammaturgia di Ibsen.
Nei loro recinti universitari, arroccati agli stipendi e allo “status” d’intellettuali, sparuti professori proclamano ancora un impegno verso una maggiore attenzione a “ciò che si studia” e al “modo in cui si studia”, ma il giovane eroe, immemore delle lunghe battaglie della consapevolezza di sé giocate alla Playstation, rifiuta di apportare un contributo monetario, in termine di “tassa di iscrizione”, a studi che non dovessero essere accattivanti, veloci e basati sul sistema di stimolo-riflesso di pavloniana memoria.
Sciami di ragazze, puffette-studentesse si aggirano per le aule, tormentate dal problema delle calorie. Interrogativi sulle diete, sulle possibilità di integrazione di vestiario dal colore diverso,senza scomodare la “teoria del colore” del buon Goethe, le spingono in continue altalene di frustrazioni e insicurezze. L’insuccesso al provino di modelle, ballerine e veline, le condanna ormai ad un tenore di vita inferiore, reddito e “status” connesso: lo scenario è identico per i maschietti aspiranti calciatori.
Non facciamo di tutta l’erba un fascio. Ma chi potrebbe dire che non sono presenti tali modelli di riferimento nell’attuale panorama di consumo culturale delle nuove generazioni?
La cecità rimane la forma migliore di lettura della società. Le scienze umane, moltiplicazioni specialistica di antropologismi, di sociologie, e di tutti i saperi ormai declinanti al plurale, scienze delle scienze, filosofia delle branche filosofiche, continuano il loro processo di settorializzazione interna e di avanspettacolo verso l’esteriorità. La grande aggiunta della dicitura accademica di “Spettacolo” ai dipartimenti di Letteratura, è la metafora più illuminante sullo scenario culturale contemporaneo. L’imperativo è adeguarsi ai saperi alla società dell’immagine, anche perché costerebbe troppo, fare il contrario.
La società cambia, ma nessuno è capace di pilotare e guidare il cambiamento, e non essendoci direzione si può benissimo andare avanti o indietro indifferentemente.
Continua la cantilena degli esperti che sostengono la morte ormai vicina dell’agonizzante TV generalista, come se la TV specialistica, satellitare, o il web avessero linguaggi diversi o veicolassero altri contenuti ed in altro modo (il 94,5% degli italiani guarda regolarmente la TV, Fonte: ISTAT, periodo dicembre 2001-marzo 2002). “Un certo tipo di TV” – la nostra è solo una delle TV possibili – assorbe tutto il consumo culturale di una nazione, di un popolo, ne avvolge la mente ed il corpo.
Il medium non è messaggio, la svista di McLuhan rimane drammatica (“Se abbiamo ben capito professore è inutile aprire le lettere, è il postino che bisogna leggere”, scriveva Ennio Flaiano commentando l’opera del sociologo canadese). Il medium è nell’occhio di chi guarda, o nell’orecchio di chi l’ascolta, nel tatto dello spettatore. Il medium è nelle capacità cerebrali dello spettatore, è in chi ha parametri critici o morali: per costoro lo “screen” è fatto di pixel, non è la vita – anzi c’è una sorta di divertimento a guardare alla società dell’immagine alla luce della propria esperienza culturale; ma per gli altri, per la maggioranza, per chi ha solo la cultura dell’immagine, il medium è il principale processo di conoscenza del mondo, di socializzazione, e di formazione in assenza di altri agenti. Diciamoci la verità: è la TV che forma le nuove generazioni (Ricci, Beppe Recchia, Paolo Bonolis, Fatma Ruffini). Essi, per parlare alle masse, usano il linguaggio più splendido, avvolgente e facile: la perfetta stupidità dell’evasione. Qualsiasi media può veicolare qualsiasi messaggio, essendo il media formativo, ciò vale verso il basso o verso l’alto. Sono convinto, ad esempio, che di fronte a programmi culturali l’uomo-scimmia reagisca acculturandosi inevitabilmente. Lo stesso medium può mettere in scena Antonioni, Fellini, dibattiti culturali o il “demenzial-show” oppure la spazzatura Hollywoodiana – non è mai un problema dello strumento in sé, ma della scelta dei contenuti. La teologia dello schermo – non importa se quello del PC, della TV, del cinema – è la nuova spersonalizzazione umana: un narcotico.
Il medium si forma i propri spettatori, li coltiva, li abitua, li istruisce. Il medium è rapace, prosegue nel suo obbiettivo. Il medium è performativo. Se il suo obbiettivo è avere quanta più audience possibile (e chi può negare che non sia questo il fine di ogni rete o sito web?), allora non lesina gli espedienti di cattura, pescando nelle bassezze e nelle pigrizie umane. Pescando a man bassa nella sempre intatta e viva bestialità umanoide.
La libertà dello “screen” è avidità. La libertà economica è la logica del puro profitto e della sua massimizzazione. Il capitalismo senza gabbie etiche è la legge della giungla, e nella giungla c’è violenza. Le gabbie si concretizzeranno poi in cancelli, porte blindate, sistemi di sicurezza. Nessuno ha più il coraggio di denunciare l’ipocrisia e la falsità di cui continuamente si nutre l’agire sociale. Un film, un libro, un prodotto culturale possono essere immorali e dovrebbero suscitare indignazione; ma schiere affamate di intellettuali, come cagnolini da salotti leccano le proprie ferite o le mani del padrone di turno, cercando lo scopo della propria esistenza, maledicendo le letture e gli studi fatti e preferendo molte volte essere “più stupidi” per non vedere, per non sentire, per tirare avanti, bene o male, nel “così purtroppo è il sistema”. Nessuna colpa: la sopravvivenza prima di tutto, ma non si ci lamenti. Nella depressione generale i tentativi di linguaggi e di nuove alfabetizzazioni rimangono marginali, se non abortivi.
Questo nuovo numero di Origine, è il miglior aborto che siamo riusciti a realizzare.
