INCHIESTA – NERO ITALIANO. 5 DOMANDE FUORI DAI DENTI SU NOIR E LETTERATURA “DI GENERE” a cura di Davide L. Malesi e Michele Infante

1. Non vi sembra che ci sia da parte della critica una fretta eccessiva, ultimamente, di etichettare come “Noir” qualsiasi libro di uno scrittore italiano contemporaneo contenga un delitto o un fatto di sangue? Se si potesse far così, non sarebbero romanzi Noir anche Lo Straniero di Camus e Il grande Gatsby di Francis Scott Fitzgerald…

SANDRONE DAZIERI. Lo Straniero non l’ho letto, mia colpa. Il Grande Gatsby ha un tocco noir, ma il delitto non e’ al centro del racconto, quindi mi sembrerebbe una forzatura farlo rientrare nel genere. Che la critica abbia fretta di etichettare i libri non e’ una novità. Qualche anno fa sembrava esistessero solo i “Cannibali”, adesso gli scrittori di noir. Comunque, parlare di critica letteraria mi sembra eccessivo… E’ noto che non esiste più da un pezzo e si parla addosso. Esistono i giornalisti che fanno recensioni, non e’ la stessa cosa. Non fa molta differenza, comunque. Il pubblico dei lettori e’ meno sprovveduto di quello che si pensi.

JACOPO DE MICHELIS. Quella di “noir” è un’etichetta che oggi si ritiene funzioni, ed è indubbio che viene talvolta utilizzata a sproposito, sia dai critici che dagli editori. E’ un problema, perché si rischia di non capire più bene cosa è e cosa non è il “noir”, però la colpa non può essere imputata a chi nel genere si muove davvero.
Altra è la questione delle origini del genere, per cui alcuni, alla ricerca di precursori del romanzo poliziesco, si sono spinti a indicare, a dire il vero un po’ temerariamente, addirittura l’Edipo re di Sofocle e alcune parti della Bibbia.
Riguardo a Camus, invece, posso dire che per sua stessa ammissione lo stile di scrittura che ha utilizzato per Lo Straniero è debitore di quello di James M. Cain, scrittore noir americano degli anni ’30 autore de Il postino suona sempre due volte e La morte paga doppio [anche noto come La fiamma del peccato, ndr].

GIANNI BIONDILLO. E perché no? Se non c’è malizia (e purtroppo, in una cerca critica cialtrona c’è, eccome) per me le definizioni di genere servono solo come approccio critico, come arnesi di una analisi testuale (non sono, cioè, formulette consolatorie, ma solo la prima sgrossatura critica). Quindi Dracula è un Horror ma è anche un romanzo epistolare, e pure un romanzo romantico e decadente, e così via; addentrandoci poi sempre più nello specifico del romanzo stesso, scrollandoci di dosso, piano piano verso la fine del percorso, come polvere, tutte queste definizioni; quando cioè non ne avremo più bisogno e avremo compreso a pieno l’opera, in sé e nel mondo. Quanto “rosa” c’è, viene da chiedersi, nei Promessi sposi o in Anna Karenina? Quanto surrealismo c’è nel Cossa, quanto razionalismo nel Brunelleschi?

RAUL MONTANARI. O l’Edipo Re, o l’Asino d’oro… La critica ha sempre fretta di etichettare, perché una certa dose di riduzionismo fa parte del suo lavoro. Non è strano. Devo dire che forse la definizione più esatta del genere di cui stiamo parlando è quella che danno i tedeschi. Loro non parlano di noir (un termine che cerca di definire un’atmosfera, morale o ambientale), o di giallo (sappiamo la storia curiosa di questa parola, che è semplicemente un traslato da un elemento di riconoscibilità commerciale a un genere letterario) o di poliziesco (e quando la polizia non c’è?) o ancora di thriller (ci sono molti libri e film di questo genere che, deliberatamente, non danno nessun brivido). Le chiamano semplicemente “Krimi”, storie criminali. In altre parole: il detective può anche non esserci, ma il crimine deve proprio starci.

ENZO FILENO CARABBA. Eccome se c’è. D’altra parte la mente della maggior parte degli esseri umani procede per ondate, per mode. Le idee si muovono a orde. Questo va combattuto? Sì. Ma a volte dobbiamo anche avere un po’ pietà di noi stessi. Io ho appreso che il mio libro era un Noir quando è uscito in Francia nella Série Noir di “Gallimard”. In Italia quello che a quel tempo era il mio editore mi aveva fatto un sacco di storie dicendo: questo elemento del testo è noir, ma quest’altro non è abbastanza noir, d’altra parte quest’altro ancora per non essere noir è troppo noir… e così via. Finché non ci avevo capito più niente. Allora, praticamente impazzito, ho posto con un filo di voce alla traduttrice francese l’insulsa domanda: ma secondo lei è un libro noir? Lei mi ha dato una risposta bellissima, semplice e misteriosa. Secondo me questo libro è un coniglio rosa, ha detto.

GIANCARLO DE CATALDO. E chi ti dice che non lo siano?

2. Pensate che nel bel mezzo della postmodernità, dove i “generi” letterari si mescolano, s’incrociano e si sovrappongono nell’ambito dello stesso libro si pensi a un romanzo come Q dei Luther Blissett, definito di volta in volta “Western teologico”, “ibrido tra Noir, Spy Story e Romanzo Storico”), il “genere” Noir abbia ancora delle regole definite: e se sì, quali?

SANDRONE DAZIERI. A differenza del “giallo”, il noir e’ sempre stato una vocazione, uno sguardo, più che un genere codificato. Certo che il delitto e l’analisi del male, della colpa, sono al centro del racconto noir.

JACOPO DE MICHELIS. Il noir, a differenza per esempio del giallo classico alla Agatha Christie, non ha regole ben definite, è una forma molto più aperta e plastica, che proprio per questo si presta naturalmente a ibridazioni e contaminazioni. Più che di strutture rigidamente codificate, nel noir è spesso questione di atmosfere, di toni, di stile.

GIANNI BIONDILLO. Romanzo criminale è un noir? In senso stretto il genere utilizzato in quel caso è l’Epica. Chiudi gli occhi è un noir? Con Raul abbiamo concordato da tempo che il suo è un Western, lacustre e contemporaneo. Il mio Per cosa si uccide è un noir? Critici più preparati di me l’hanno chiamato “romanzo sociale”, “romanzo di una città”. Cos’è Q? Un supernoir? Una definizione esclude, necessariamente, l’altra? Se qualcuno dicesse che il mio romanzo è un noir mi arrabbierei. Se dicesse che non lo è mi arrabbierei lo stesso. Non si parte da delle regole, ma ci si arriva, opera per opera.
Tutti, nell’impeto definitorio, poi, ci dimentichiamo del fulcro della questione. La scrittura. Carlotto scrive come Dazieri? Genna scrive come De Cataldo? Fois scrive come Lucarelli? Ha senso dire: “io non amo i noir?” Cioè: ha senso dire: “Non amo le madonne con bambino?” o: “Non sopporto i San Sebastiano?”
Ci sono San Sebastiano del Mantegna e croste assurde, ci sono Madonne di tutte le risme, da Raffaello, alla riproduzione trash che si vende al mercato sotto casa.
Fermarsi alla definizione generica “Madonna con bambino”, che serve solo come primo approccio, come primo passo di avvicinamento, fermarsi, pregiudizialmente, e decidere che quella è “LA” definizione discriminante, butterebbe nel cesso duemila anni di storia dell’arte. Ci sono noir (madonna con bambino) che sono capolavori, e noir (madonna con bambino) che sono croste. E’ difficile da capire?

RAUL MONTANARI. Anzitutto deve contenere un’azione criminale, cosa che lo accomuna al giallo. La differenza però è chiara:

GIALLO:
In perfetta simultaneità, Conan Doyle e Freud (entrambi medici!) plasmano la grande utopia positivista, la rivincita del cervello sul cuore e sulle viscere. Giallo e psicanalisi descrivono un iter identico:
– Presupposto: nel mondo esiste un ordine, e la ragione umana èfatta apposta per riconoscerlo e comunicarlo.
– Il caso (poliziesco o clinico): rottura dell’ordine attraverso un trauma (omicidio, furto, infrazione di un tabù sessuale…).
– Gli elementi: ancora una volta testimonianze e indizi (la deposizione di un teste o la cenere della sigaretta per l’investigatore; i racconti del paziente, i suoi sogni, i suoi lapsus per lo psicanalista).
– Procedimento: ragionando su dati apparentemente insignificanti, investigatore e psicanalista ricostruiscono la scena del trauma iniziale, individuano il colpevole, ripristinano l’ordine. L’armonia fra uomo e mondo è salva.

NOIR:
– Presuppone non l’ordine ma il disordine del mondo. Il mondo è caos, incrocio di linguaggi e magma di regole contraddittorie.
– All’interno di questo caos, il criminale (spesso il vero protagonista della narrazione, che può assumere il suo stesso punto di vista) cerca di imporre un ordine parziale, ossia elabora un piano: uccidere un uomo, compiere una rapina, ecc.
– Di norma, questo piano è destinato al fallimento.
Il collasso finale del criminale diventa metafora della nostra esistenza, del nostro tentativo continuo e frustrato di controllare una realtà sfuggente. La simpatia che proviamo per i grandi vilain dei noir è certamente lo sfogo proiettivo delle nostre pulsioni violente (loro uccidono per conto nostro) o dell’aspirazione a infrangere i limiti in cui sentiamo rinchiusa la nostra vita (la grande rapina alla banca nasce dallo stesso desiderio di un brusco salto di qualità che esprimiamo giocando al Totocalcio), ma sorge anche da una identificazione fra perdenti, dal riconoscimento che il loro scacco è anche il nostro. Personalmente sono convinto che questo sia il motivo per cui sempre più spesso, ultimamente, compaiono narrazioni noir nelle quali il cattivo non viene affatto punito, non fallisce. Il nostro anelito all’evasione da una realtà asfittica trova allora uno sfogo compiuto, coerente fino in fondo, e in particolare il serial killer si propone come l’eroe nero di fine millennio e oltre. L’autocensura, che provocherebbe in noi un ovvio senso di colpa se fossimo invitati a una identificazione diretta con un brutale assassino, viene elusa intelligentemente nel Silenzio degli innocenti, con uno sdoppiamento della figura del criminale: se l’incolto e sgraziato Buffalo Bill merita di essere castigato – e troveremmo immorale che un simile animale la facesse franca – il raffinato, enigmatico dottor Lecter, l’antropofago umanista, può trionfare senza che la cosa ci dispiaccia o ci spaventi. Un passo avanti fanno Seven (il cattivo vince, ma a prezzo dell’autodistruzione: troppo facile così! E’ il cattivo come kamikaze, barano al gioco entrambi perché non muovono da quella paura della morte che dovrebbe stare alla base di un agire motivato e autoconservativo) e soprattutto I soliti sospetti (qui il cattivo vince, punto e basta).

ENZO FILENO CARABBA. La postmodernità è un concetto presuntuoso. In ogni caso è un’idea che dà troppo peso alla modernità, che non è stata niente di particolare. I generi si sono sempre incrociati e mescolati. Tutte le cose vive lo fanno.
Le regole definite non le conosco. Ho partecipato a un convegno dove erano presenti star del Noir internazionale, l’ho fatto anche col subdolo scopo di apprendere le regole. Ma ognuno ha dato una definizione diversa.

GIANCARLO DE CATALDO. Ho una modesta proposta per la comunità dei critici, della quale “Origine”, se vuole, può farsi latrice: lasciamo le etichette alla maionese e al tonno e parliamo di cose serie. Comunque lo si voglia definire, Q è un gran bel libro, e solo questo è ciò che conta.

3. Perchè quegli stessi critici almeno (militanti, accademici, e via discorrendo) che consideravano il Noir (e più o meno tutta la “letteratura di genere”) come un prodotto di serie B, ne sono improvvisamente divenuti gli apologeti?

SANDRONE DAZIERI. Non ne ho idea. Ma è vero, poi?

JACOPO DE MICHELIS. Io non sono così sicuro che ci sia stata tutta questa conversione generalizzata a favore del noir. Soprattutto in Italia la narrativa di genere è ancora vista con molti pregiudizi. Tra chi ha cambiato idea, comunque, ci sarà anche chi ha fiutato un cambio del vento ed è saltato sul carro del vincitore (o presunto tale), ma io spero che i più l’abbiano fatto semplicemente perché hanno aperto gli occhi e si sono accorti che il genere ha prodotto e continua a produrre tanta buona letteratura.

GIANNI BIONDILLO. La fortuna in Italia del giallo è stata la sua stessa sfortuna. Dobbiamo a Mondadori il fatto che un popolo di illetterati comunque leggesse, ma anche che per farlo leggere è stato necessario ghettizzare il prodotto, trasformandolo in qualcosa di “evasivo” e colorato di giallo.
Mancava da noi una scrittura “investigativa”? No, ovvio. Vedi Gadda, Fruttero e Lucentini, Scerbanenco, Sciascia, etc… a volerla cercare addirittura pare esista una tradizione, un fil rouge che ci porta qui da noi, a questo florilegio di scritture di genere.
(Ma a volerlo cercare si trova tutto, d’altronde).
Che poi siano gli stessi critici che ora hanno cambiato idea non ne sono così certo. Penso che ci sia stato, anzi sia in atto, un ricambio generazionale anche nella critica. E molti di quelli che oggi scrivono di letteratura sono cresciuti leggendo fumetti o “Urania”, senza vergognarsene.

RAUL MONTANARI. Erano gli stessi? Siete sicuri? Non ho abbastanza informazioni su questo. Di certo a blandire qualunque forma espressiva “pop” (a volte pure trash) si vince sempre. Perché il pubblico ti viene dietro ora, spernacchiando i puristi e gli apologeti dei valori estetici, e perché inevitabilmente, dopo un po’ di tempo, ci saranno le “riscoperte” e fior di critici (magari di un’altra generazione) diranno viva Simenon, viva James Bond, viva Alvaro Vitali. Con le dovute differenze, è ovvio.

ENZO FILENO CARABBA. Alcuni lo faranno per non dare la sensazione di essere rimasti indietro. Temo l’onda contraria. Perché c’è sempre un’onda contraria. E l’orda come la risacca prima o poi torna indietro.
Però credo che in effetti la cosiddetta letteratura di genere abbia dimostrato una vitalità incontestabile. Sento spesso dire che il giallo ha salvato la letteratura italiana da un eccesso di intellettualismo e pretenziosità. Magari è così. Io per esempio sono abbastanza pretenzioso, modestamente. Però, se è vero che all’insegna del giallo sono usciti molti libri belli, è anche vero che non sono usciti libri meravigliosi o epocali. Sono libri troppo simili tra loro, per il mio orecchio: omogenei sia per quanto riguarda la costruzione delle frasi, sia per quanto riguarda la percezione della realtà, e questo non è un caso. Liberarsi dalla pretenziosità è bene. Un giorno vorrei farlo. Perdere il coraggio è male.

GIANCARLO DE CATALDO. Ma perché non chiederlo a loro, che hanno tanta voglia di parlarne?

4. Esiste, secondo voi, un caposaldo del genere Noir internazionale, un libro da leggere assolutamente? E un romanzo Noir italiano contemporaneo per cui valga la stessa regola?

SANDRONE DAZIERI. Sicuramente Hammett, per quanto riguarda i padri nobili. Per il presente direi l’opera di Ellroy.

JACOPO DE MICHELIS. In campo internazionale, non uno ma tre titoli: Dalia nera di James Ellroy, L’assassino che è in me di Jim Thompson, Posizione di tiro di Jean-Patrick Manchette. Per l’Italia: Traditori di tutti di Giorgio Scerbanenco (e gli altri romanzi della serie di Duca Lamberti).

GIANNI BIONDILLO. Non ne ho la minima idea. Io, tra l’altro, non sono mai stato, in senso stretto, un lettore e un cultore di gialli. La maggior parte degli scrittori di culto del genere noir io non li ho mai letti. Non certo per snobberia. Solo perché non mi sono mai posto il problema se Chandler fosse uno scrittore giallo, o noir, o quant’altro. Per me era un bravo scrittore americano, tutto qui. Gli autori citati, comunque, mi sembra vadano bene tutti, per iniziare (da qualche parte bisogna pur iniziare…).

RAUL MONTANARI. Vado un pochino controcorrente rispetto alla domanda. In tutta l’opera di Edgar Allan Poe c’è la fondazione sia del giallo sia del noir. Quanto agli autori italiani, consiglio un bellissimo noir del 1888: Il cappello del prete, di Emilio De Marchi. Giuro che c’è tutto! Anzi, manca una cosa che a questi due autori non si poteva proprio chiedere: la preveggenza che un giorno il genere si sarebbe sviluppato indebolendo al massimo la figura del detective. Dai bizzarri superuomini di Poe e Conan Doyle si è passati a un investigatore ideale che, auspicabilmente, dovrebbe essere storpio, monco, mutilo, magari ridotto a un ammasso organico indifeso e inidentificabile, meglio ancora se nato in condizioni disastrose e attualmente residente al Cottolengo o tenuto in vita artificialmente dentro un’ampolla di liquido amniotico, violentato dal padre e dalla madre all’età di due settimane, semirimbecillito, diseredato, tifoso dell’Inter, che comunica col mondo premendo un’escrescenza carnosa sull’unico tasto di un computer a pezzi (un vecchio Commodore, magari), e che ciò nonostante riesce a risolvere il caso!

ENZO FILENO CARABBA. Voglio citare uno dei miei autori preferiti in assoluto. In realtà non scrive Noir, però è il massimo cantore della Letteratura di genere, ed è Valerio Evangelisti. I suoi sono libri determinanti per la formazione dell’uomo contemporaneo.

GIANCARLO DE CATALDO. Esistono molti, forse innumerevoli archetipi: dai tragici greci alla
Bibbia (stiamo parlando di argomenti come l’incesto, il parricidio, lo stupro, l’orgia rituale, la “yubris”, l’esposizione di cadaveri al pubblico ludibrio, la cacciata dal Paradiso terrestre, la cancellazione del genere umano a mezzo angeli sterminatori e altre simili amenità) a Shakespeare (principini
sequestrati e poi straziati nella Torre) a Dostojevskji (do you remember Stavrogin e Raskolnikov, strangolatore di vecchiette), nonché Conrad e perché non metterci dentro anche La Colonna Infame e Libertà di Giovanni Verga (Bronte, cronaca di un massacro unitario, con sangue a profusione…)… ciascuno, poi, deve farsi i suoi padri nobili. Io posso riferire dei miei: Le Illusioni Perdute, Uomo da
Niente di Jim Thompson, American Tabloid, Maigret al Liberty Bar e La neve era sporca di Georges Simenon, Il pasticciaccio di Gadda.

5. Ha scritto Tiziano Scarpa: “Il giallo, il noir è commercialmente al potere, è il genere letterario che vende, che funziona più di tutti. Perché vergognarsene? Perché vi nascondete dietro un dito? Accettate serenamente questo fatto. Sappiate assumervi le responsabilità di essere arrivati al potere. Scrivendo di morti e ammazzamenti e investigatori e brividi si piglia più pubblico.” Come commentereste questa affermazione?

SANDRONE DAZIERI. E adesso che abbiamo il potere che ne facciamo?

JACOPO DE MICHELIS. Faccio fatica a commentare la provocazione di Scarpa perché mi sfugge chi è che si vergognerebbe e si nasconderebbe, e a quali responsabilità alluda (io l’unica responsabilità che sento è quella di pubblicare buoni libri, che non piglino per il culo il lettore. Se ci riesco sono contento).
Quanto al fatto che a scrivere di omicidi si attirino più lettori che non a comporre eleganti ghirigori sulle crisi esistenziali di intellettuali di mezza età intenti alla contemplazione del proprio ombelico, c’è davvero bisogno di spiegarne i motivi?

GIANNI BIONDILLO. In effetti Scarpa ha ragione da vendere: il genere ha vinto, il noir è al potere, il giallo vende. Sottoscrivo, riga per riga tutto il suo sfogo caustico. Ma manca però qualcosa. Perché? Cioè: perché, oggi, qui ed ora, il genere ha vinto? Solo perché “vende”? Vendeva anche prima, quando era solo roba da estrarre dalla tasca dei pantaloni e leggere sul tram, per perder tempo lungo la strada verso il posto di lavoro. Perché, oggi, c’è una intera generazione di scrittori in Italia che sente di doversi esprimere attraverso il genere? Questa è la vera domanda da porci.
Per me non è, semplicemente, una questione di moda. E’ che oggi il patto fra il lettore e lo scrittore per la descrizione e la decrittazione del mondo passa per il genere noir. Domani non so. Domani potremmo capire la nostra contemporaneità attraverso altre forme di scrittura (o di media espressivi). Oggi è “l’indagine” sulla realtà (che poi, a ben vedere è questo: noir, gialli, polizieschi, thriller: è “l’indagine” che li tiene insieme) che ci descrive, al meglio, il desiderio di realtà, di comprensione della realtà, che viviamo.

RAUL MONTANARI. Ha ragione. Andrebbe aggiunta al quadro anche la narrativuccia pseudosentimentale. Quella è proprio inaffondabile.

ENZO FILENO CARABBA. Ha ragione, è chiaro. Il giallo, il noir, forse hanno salvato la letteratura italiana. Il che non sarebbe poco, fosse vero. Alcuni dei maggiori autori italiani scrivono gialli che leggo avidamente. Ma adesso le regole del genere, che io ignoro, rischiano di diventare uno strumento di restaurazione stilistica e morale.

GIANCARLO DE CATALDO. E chi si vergogna? Io sono serenissimo! Forse che “pigliare” il pubblico è disdicevole? C’è qualche testo sacro o manuale di galateo autoriale che imponga di produrre scritti noiosi e possibilmente concepiti allo scopo di allontanare il lettore?

Sandrone Dazieri è nato a Cremona nel 1964. Ha scritto diversi racconti di fantascienza: è stato tra gli autori di Antologia Cyberpunk (“Shake”). Ha inoltre pubblicato Italia overground (“Castelvecchi”), i due romanzi della serie del Gorilla (Attenti al gorilla, “Oscar Mondadori”, e La cura del gorilla, “Einaudi Stile Libero”). Molti suoi racconti sono presenti in diverse antologie di noir italiano, tra cui Italia odia (“Piccola Biblioteca Oscar Mondadori”), Il giallo e l’impegno (“Micromega”). I suoi romanzi sono stati pubblicati con ottimo successo di pubblico e critica in Francia e in Germania. Attualmente è il direttore editoriale della collana “Il Giallo Mondadori”.

Jacopo De Michelis è nato a Milano nel 1968. Collabora con diverse case editrici come consulente e traduttore e cura per “Marsilio” la collana noir “Black” (http://www.marsilioblack.tk). Nel 1998 ha curato l’antologia Cuore nero. Geografie del noir (ed. “Fernandel”).

Gianni Biondillo ha scritto Pasolini. Il corpo della città (“Unicopli”), e Giovanni Michelucci. Brani di città aperti a tutti (“Testo&Immagine”). Il suo esordio nel campo del romanzo, Per cosa si uccide (“Guanda”), è stato un successo di pubblico e di critica.

Raul Montanari è nato a Bergamo nel 1959, ma vive e lavora a Milano. Ha pubblicato i romanzi Il buio divora la strada (“Leonardo”, 1991), La perfezione (“Feltrinelli”, 1994, 1996, Premio Linea d’Ombra 1995), Sei tu l’assassino e Dio ti sta sognando (“Marcos y Marcos”, 1997 e 1998), Che cosa hai fatto (“Baldini & Castaldi”, 2001) e la raccolta di racconti Un bacio al mondo (“Rizzoli” 1998, Selezione Premio Bergamo e Premio Settembrini 1999).
Ha tradotto e adattato per le scene Doppio Sogno (Teatro Stabile di Firenze, 2000) e scritto su commissione la pièce DJ per la rassegna “Le Chaos du Nouveau” (Théâtre du Folle Pensée, 1999-2001). Ha sceneggiato i lungometraggi Tartarughe dal becco d’ascia (Out Off, 1999) e La Perfezione (in lavorazione), per la regia di Antonio Syxty.
Considerato uno dei maggiori traduttori italiani, presso i principali editori ha pubblicato versioni dalle lingue classiche (Sofocle, Seneca) e dall’inglese (Gurganus, Styron, Greene, P. Roth, Brink, O. Wilde, Cormac McCarthy, fra gli altri).

Enzo Fileno Carabba è nato nel 1966 a Firenze e vive attualmente nella campagna toscana. Giancarlo De Cataldo, nato a Taranto nel 1956, vive a Roma dove è giudice presso la Corte d’Assise. Romanziere, saggista, autore di testi per il teatro, la radio e la tv, ha pubblicato nel 1989 Nero come il cuore per la casa editrice “Interno Giallo”, romanzo che ha ispirato un film diretto da Maurizio Ponzi e interpretato da Giancarlo Giannini.
